How to Extend Round Tables

A round table makes a nice addition to any dining room. However, if you own a table of this nature that has the ability to extend, it most likely contains up to three leaf extensions. If you find the area where your table separates, you can extend your round table.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the location where your table comes apart. Usually, round tables separate in the center.

    • 2

Remove your table's locks. Normally, table locks lie on its center, in the same location that it separates. Slide the locks open with your hands.

    • 3

Browse beneath your round table to find leafs. These leafs may appear in several places. For instance, some round tables contain leafs in the center that fold, or they may come out automatically when you open your table.

    • 4

Tug on the sides of your table to open the leafs while you pull one side in the opposite direction of the other. Verify that your table opens completely so that the leaves emerge. Note that you may have to enlist the aid of a friend or family member to complete this step, especially if your table does not seem to budge.
