Instructions

    • 1

Measure and mark the center of all four 2-foot boards, 1 foot in from each end. Attach the bit to your drill and drill a hole straight through each of the four boards at the marked point.

    • 2

Stack one 2-foot board over another and align the drilled holes. Slip one of the bolts through both holes and attach a wing nut to the bolt where it comes out the other side. Check that the two boards are snug to one another, but can move independently on the bolt. Repeat with the other 2-foot boards.

    • 3

Lay the two leg units on a flat surface parallel to one another. Space the units 18 inches apart and slip the 18-inch board between them. Position the 18-inch board along the top. Screw through the inner board of each unit and into the ends of the 18-inch board on each side.

    • 4

Set the 26-inch board against the top of the 2-foot boards so it runs beside the 18-inch board. Screw through the 26-inch board at each end and into the ends of the outer boards of each leg unit.

    • 5

Open the stool framework so the cross braces you just attached are spaced 18 inches apart. Drape your canvas material over the framework. Wrap the edge of the material around to the underside of each brace and staple every 2 inches to secure the seating material.
