* 1 twin bed sheet
* 3/4 yard of felt (for the headpiece)
* 3/4 yard of fleece (for the body)
* Sewing machine

Bed sheet:
- Cut out a 36"x42" rectangle for the body of the chiton
- Cut out two 18"x24" rectangles for the sleeves
Felt:
- Cut out a 9"x12" rectangle for the headpiece
Fleece:
- Cut out a 20"x36" rectangle for the lining of the body
- Cut out two 10"x18" rectangles for the lining of the sleeves
- Fold the felt rectangle in half lengthwise, with the wrong sides together.
- Sew the sides together, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
- Turn the headpiece right side out and press flat.
- Fold each sleeve rectangle in half lengthwise, with the wrong sides together.
- Sew the sides together, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
- Turn the sleeves right side out and press flat.
- Fold the body rectangle in half lengthwise, with the wrong sides together.
- Sew the sides together, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
- Turn the body of the chiton right side out and press flat.
- Pin the sleeves to the armholes of the body, matching up the center of the sleeves with the center of the armholes.
- Sew the sleeves to the body, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
- Pin the lining to the body, with the wrong sides together.
- Sew the lining to the body, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
- Add trim to the chiton, such as ribbon or rickrack, as desired.
Your chiton is now ready to wear. You can add any additional decorations or embellishments you like to make it your own.
