How to Make Army Color Greens With Food Coloring

Ingredients

* 2 cups (473 ml) hot water

* 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

* 2 tablespoons (30 ml) corn syrup

* 2 tablespoons (30 ml) unsweetened cocoa powder

* 2 tablespoons (30 ml) leaf green food coloring

* 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) blue food coloring

* 2 drops of yellow food coloring

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the hot water, vanilla extract, and corn syrup. Stir until the corn syrup is dissolved.

2. Add the cocoa powder, leaf green food coloring, blue food coloring, and yellow food coloring. Stir until the cocoa powder is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.

3. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

4. Pour the mixture into a resealable plastic bag and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.

5. When ready to use, remove the mixture from the freezer and let it thaw for 5-10 minutes.

6. Knead the mixture until it is pliable.

7. Use the mixture to create army color greens.

Tips

* If the mixture is too soft, place it back in the freezer for a few minutes.

* If the mixture is too hard, let it thaw for a few minutes longer.

* You can adjust the amount of food coloring to achieve the desired shade of green.

* For a more realistic look, add a small amount of brown or gray food coloring to the mixture.

* Army color greens can be used to make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts.
