* Galvanized steel eye bolts (2)
* Wall plugs
* Masonary screwdriver or a drill and masonry drill bit
* Threading tape
* 2 carabiner clips
* Clothesline or vinyl-coated steel cable
* Utility Knife
Step 2: Mark the Location for the Eye Bolts
* Decide on the length and height you want your clothesline to be.
* Mark the location of the eye bolts on the brick wall using a pencil.
* Make sure the marks are at least 6 feet apart and at least 18 inches from any edges or corners.
Step 3: Drill Holes for the Eye Bolts
* Using a masonry drill bit and a drill to create the holes (the drill may be easier to use for brick, while the screwdriver is recommended for concrete or harder masonry).
* If you are using the screwdriver, insert it into the holes as you rotate it to create the holes.
* If you are using the drill, remember to wear eye protection and use the proper speed and pressure to avoid damaging the wall.
* The holes should be just deep enough to allow the wall plugs to be inserted flush with the surface of the wall.
Step 4: Insert the Wall Plugs
* Insert the wall plugs into the holes and tap them in with a hammer until they are flush with the surface of the wall.
Step 5: Attach the Eye Bolts
* Thread the eye bolts through the wall plugs and hand-tighten them until they are snug.
* Use a wrench or pliers to tighten the bolts further until they are secure.
Step6: Thread Threading Tape
* Wrap a few layers of threading tape around the threading of the eye bolts to create a watertight seal.
Step 7: Attach Carabiner Clips
* Attach the carabiner clips to the eye bolts.
* These will be used to attach the clothesline.
Step 8: Attach the Clothesline
*Cut a piece of clothesline or vinyl-coated steel cable to the desired length.
* Attach one end of the line to the carabiner clip on one eye bolt.
* Run the line to the other eye bolt and attach it to the carabiner clip.
* Tighten the line until it is taunt.
Step 9: Trim Excess Clothesline
* Use a utility knife to trim any excess clothesline.
Your clothesline is now ready to use!
