* 1-gallon milk jug
* Scissors

1. Prepare the milk jug. Wash and dry the milk jug. Remove the cap and cut the bottom off of the jug.
2. Draw the helmet template. Cut a piece of paper that is the same size as the bottom of the milk jug. Place the paper on the bottom of the milk jug and trace around the edge of the jug. Cut out the template.
3. Transfer the template to the jug. Place the template on the side of the milk jug and trace around the edge of the template using the back of scissors or a ballpoint pen.
4. Cut out the helmet. Using a craft knife, carefully cut out the helmet along the lines you traced.
5. Shape the helmet. You will need to cut a few notches or slits into the helmet near its opening in order to allow your head to sit comfortably inside.
6. Sand the helmet. Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges on the helmet.
7. Paint the helmet. Use acrylic paint to paint the helmet any color you like. You can also add decorative items such as rivets.
8. Let the helmet dry. Let the helmet dry completely before wearing it.
