How to Make the Hot Tub Water Smell Good

* Chlorine level: 2-4 ppm

* pH level: 7.2-7.8

* Bromine level: 2-4 ppm

Use a Hot Tub Water Treatment Product

* Follow directions on product label

Clean the Filter

* Clean the filter cartridge weekly or as needed

* Use a garden hose to spray water through the filter, backwashing it to remove debris

Replace the Filter Regularly

* Every 3-6 months

Turn Off the Jets and Cover the Hot Tub

* When not in use, turn off the jets and cover the hot tub to reduce evaporation and chemical loss

Shock the Hot Tub

* Every week or two, shock the hot tub with a strong oxidizer, such as chlorine or bromine

* Follow directions on product label

Circulate the Water

* Run the jets for a few minutes each day to circulate the water and prevent it from becoming stagnant

Empty and Refill the Hot Tub

* Every 3-6 months, empty the hot tub and refill it with fresh water
