Instructions:
1. Measure the bathtub: Measure the width and length of the drop-in tub and transfer these measurements to the shower floor where you plan on installing it.
2. Cut the shower base:
- Use the circular saw to cut the shower base along the marked lines, creating an opening for the drop-in tub.
- Be careful not to cut too deeply as you may damage the drain pipes.
3. Install the tub flange:
- Place the tub flange around the perimeter of the opening in the shower base. Make sure that the flange is level.
- Secure the flange to the shower base using screws provided in the flange kit.
4. Install the drop-in tub:
- Carefully lower the drop-in tub into the opening in the shower base. Make sure that the tub is level.
- Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the tub flange and the drop-in tub to seal any gaps.
5. Attach the drain:
- Connect the drain pipe to the drain hole in the drop-in tub.
- Secure the drain pipe using the provided hardware.
6. Secure the tub surround panel:
- If you are using a tub surround panel, install it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure that the panel covers the gap between the tub and the wall.
7. Caulk the seams:
- Caulk the seams between the drop-in tub, the tub flange, and the wall. This will help to prevent water from leaking.
8. Apply grout:
- If desired, apply grout to the joints between the tiles or shower surround panels. This will help to create a finished look.
- Let the grout dry completely before using the shower.
Note: It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific tub and shower base.
